Team Leader - Outreach Leeds

About you

You will support the Team Manager by overseeing a cluster of accommodation provision including outreach accommodation for vulnerable service users. To deputise for the team manager when necessary, line manage staff and work alongside the management team to ensure high standards are maintained in each property, ensuring quality and safe support to service users.

This role will be cover the Leeds area.

Some of the duties will include

  • Lead on the move-in and out process for service users, ensuring all paperwork is completed to a high standard and service users receive a warm welcome and a full induction.
  • Reduce voids (empty beds) and support the growth of Bedspace by planning effectively for move-on and liaising with Team Managers and placement teams regarding new referrals.
  • Act as an enabler by assessing, in consultation with Team Managers and Support Workers, those service users who are ready to be transitioned to supported tenancies, ensuring that the appropriate support and benefits will be in place.
  • Work collaboratively with regional teams and the wider business to improve Bedspace and embed good practice models.
  • Assist Support Workers with the delivery of the ASDAN programme, improving the independence skills and educational achievement of service users.
  • Assist the Team Manager with induction of new staff and development of existing staff.
  • Managing a team of 9 - 10 staff.
  • Take a lead on REMAS, ensuring recordings are compliant with company police and carried out by staff in a timely manner and to a high standard

Essential

  • Previous experience in working with vulnerable young people and adults.
  • Travel is essential so must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle insured for business use
  • Computer literate
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Thorough knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children
  • Have or be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification
  • The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure, an employment background check, satisfactory references and verification of right to work in the UK.
